Hope House gets generous new ray of hope

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Good news for a local group that helps the homeless; Family Promise of Lubbock announced that an anonymous donor will return the Hope House to its original appearance back in the 1950's.

The donor bought trees for the house and hired a painter. This is also the same man who donated a DVD player so that families could use it for job training. The Hope House in central Lubbock benefits families with children who are homeless.

Family Promise and TG Trees team up on poverty
Family Promise along with TG Trees is running a month long campaign to bring awareness to poverty and the homeless in our community.

Through the month of April, TG Trees, 118th Street and frankford Avenue, will have a display of purple plants and purple accessories for your home and garden.
Purchasing any of these specially marked products will donate a portion of the proceeds to Family Promise.

Lubbock Homelessness Has Doubled In A Year The number of homeless people in Lubbock has doubled from a count taken one year ago. Volunteers with the local Homeless Consortium's Census Effort tallied 255 folks.
