We are thrilled to invite you to be part of an exciting new chapter for Family Promise of Lubbock. For more than 25 years, our mission has been to empower families experiencing homelessness to achieve long-term independence through shelter, support, and growth opportunities. With your help, we are taking a bold step forward.
Our Reach for the Stars campaign will expand our capacity to serve families in crisis by creating a larger, more welcoming space designed to foster stability, dignity, and hope. This project is more than a building; it is an investment in ending generational poverty and homelessness by giving children and parents the tools to build brighter, more secure futures. Together, we can create lasting change that uplifts families today and for generations to come.
The Face of Homelessness
Every year, hundreds of families in Lubbock face the heartbreaking reality of homelessness. In 2024 alone, 385 families reached out to Family Promise for shelter; however, limited space allowed us to serve only 6% of them. Meanwhile, more than 1,000 children in Lubbock ISD were identified as homeless. Families are turned away not because of a lack of need, but because of a lack of room. Our current facility is unable to meet the growing demand, which limits both the reach and the depth of our services.

Our Solution & Transformation
The Reach for the Stars campaign is our answer to this urgent need. With your support, Family Promise of Lubbock will expand into a new 8,657 square foot facility featuring 13 private family units, dedicated case management offices, and multipurpose spaces for programs and community gatherings.
This new home will allow us to serve more families, offer greater privacy and stability, and create a safe, nurturing environment where parents and children can rebuild their lives. Together, we can transform the future for families in crisis, one home, one hope, one step at a time.
